Hand knotted in all natural dyed, hand-spun wool, this rug is one of a kind. The rug was then sun faded for three to six months, so the sun's energy could organically soften its original colors. Once neutralized, it was overdyed and washed, revealing deep, vibrant hues that make each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art. The color was applied by hand in washes that bleed into one another, so the result cannot be repeated. You may notice lighter and deeper areas of dark red across the surface. That layered, uneven color is the signature of an overdyed rug, and together with the hand-tied knots it gives the rug its own personality. The wool pile is dense and soft underfoot, and it stands up well to daily use in busy rooms.
