Rug Rental — NYC, NJ & PA

The same rugs we sell — yours by the day.

An authentic hand-knotted Persian or Oriental rug can cost $500 to $10,000+ to purchase. Rental gives you access to the same stunning pieces at a fraction of the cost — perfect for film, photography, staging, weddings, and try-before-you-buy.

We're in Carlstadt, New Jersey — fifteen minutes from Manhattan — with one of the most extensive rental collections in the tri-state area.

Who Rents From Arsh's

From a one-day shoot to a six-month stage — the rug works for the project.

You might be surprised how many different industries rely on rug rentals. Here are the use cases we see most often across the tri-state area.

— Film & Television

Period Dramas, Commercials, Series

NYC and NJ are two of the busiest production markets in the world. An authentic hand-knotted Persian rug instantly elevates a scene in a way a replica simply cannot. We work with tight production timelines and same-week turnarounds.

— Photography

Editorial, Fashion, Product

A richly patterned Kazak or soft Gabbeh adds incredible texture and depth to any image. Rather than purchasing a rug for a single shoot, rental gives photographers access to dozens of unique pieces — pick the right one for the story.

— Home Staging

Manhattan, NJ, Main Line

A well-staged home sells faster and for more money. A high-end hand-knotted rug in the right room is one of the most impactful staging tools available — and rental cost is typically a small fraction of the return at closing.

— Weddings & Galas

Ceremonies, Receptions, Brand Activations

Outdoor weddings, indoor galas, corporate events, pop-up experiences. Whether you're dressing a ceremony aisle, a cocktail reception, or a brand activation, our collection has the right piece for the moment.

— Showrooms & Retail

Lobbies, Offices, Pop-Ups

Opening a showroom or redesigning your office lobby? Rental lets you elevate a commercial space immediately, without the long-term commitment. Many business clients end up buying the rug after seeing the impact in their space.

— Try Before You Buy

Interior Design Projects

Live with the rug in the actual room before committing. See how it works with your furniture and your light. One of our most popular rental use cases — and rental fees can be credited toward purchase.

Persian to tribal — every visual register.

Our rental collection covers the full range of authentic hand-knotted styles, from formal Persian medallions to bold tribal geometrics. Sizes from accent runners to oversize.

What Makes a Good Rental Rug

Not every rug photographs — or rents — well.

When it comes to rentals, quality matters more than you might think. Machine-made rugs look flat and lifeless on camera and in person. Here's what to look for, and what every rug in our rental collection has.

01

Hand-Knotted Construction

Natural variation in texture and color that photographs beautifully and reads as authentic in any setting. The opposite of flat machine weave.

02

Natural Wool

Wool has a warmth and luster that synthetic fibers can't replicate. It also holds up exceptionally well under rental conditions and event traffic.

03

Natural Dyes

Vegetable-dyed rugs have depth of color that looks stunning in photography and under event lighting. Synthetic dyes can flatten or wash out on camera.

04

Authentic Origin

Whether Persian, Kazak, Kilim, or Moroccan — authentic regional rugs bring credibility and character that reproductions simply don't carry.

How Rental Works

From inquiry to pickup in five steps.

i. Contact

Tell us about the project.

Email or call with the dates, location, and the style or size you're looking for. The more detail you can share — even a reference image — the faster we can match the right piece.

ii. Browse

In person or by photo.

Visit our Carlstadt showroom, or let our team email curated photos of available pieces. For projects with art direction, send mood boards — we'll narrow to three to five options.

iii. Reserve

Lock in your dates.

We confirm availability and hold the rug for the rental window. A signed rental agreement and deposit secures the piece — same-week turnarounds welcome.

iv. Pickup or Delivery

Showroom or on-site.

Come to our Carlstadt facility, or arrange delivery anywhere in NYC, New Jersey, or the Philadelphia area. Production-grade timing on request.

v. Use & Return

That's it.

Use the rug for your project and return when the window is over. Want to keep it? Rental fees can be credited toward purchase — many clients rent first and buy second.

Service Area

Tri-State coverage, NJ home base.

Our Carlstadt, NJ showroom puts us closer to Manhattan than most NYC-based rental suppliers — fifteen minutes through the Lincoln Tunnel. We serve the entire tri-state area, with the heaviest demand from NYC production, NJ staging, and Philadelphia events.

New York City

Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Our biggest market for film, editorial, and commercial photography. Same-day delivery available for production work.

New Jersey

Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Union, Monmouth, Middlesex, and beyond. NJ clients often visit the showroom in person — we encourage it. Nothing replaces seeing the rug in your hand before renting.

Pennsylvania

Philadelphia and the surrounding region — Main Line staging, PA wedding venues, regional productions. Delivery for larger projects arranged in advance.

Connecticut & Beyond

We handle longer-distance rentals on request, including Connecticut, the Hudson Valley, and parts of Maryland and Delaware. Ask about your specific location.

Frequently Asked

What clients ask before they reserve.

How much does it cost to rent a rug?

Rental rates vary by rug size, style, and rental duration. A small accent rug for a one-day photo shoot is significantly less than a large Persian for a six-week staging project. Pricing is budget-friendly and we work with clients on flexible terms. Send us your project details and we'll send back a quote.

Can I rent for just one day?

Yes. We offer single-day rentals for photo shoots, film shoots, and one-day events. We also offer weekly and monthly rentals for staging or longer design projects.

Do you deliver to New York City?

Yes. We deliver throughout NYC — Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island — from our Carlstadt, NJ facility just fifteen minutes away. Same-day delivery available for production timelines.

Do you rent for weddings in Pennsylvania?

Yes. We regularly serve Philadelphia and the surrounding PA suburbs — including Main Line venues. Send us your venue location and dates and we'll work out logistics.

Can I buy the rug after renting?

Yes, and it happens more often than you'd think. If you fall in love with a rug during your rental, we're happy to discuss a purchase. Rental fees can be credited toward the sale price — many clients rent first and buy second.

What if the rug is damaged during rental?

Handmade rugs are durable — they're built for floors, not display cases. Normal use is expected and covered by our rental agreement. A security deposit covers significant damage, which is rare. We handle any post-rental cleaning in our own facility.

What types of rugs do you have available to rent?

Our rental collection includes Persian, Kazak, Kilim, Tribal, Moroccan, Gabbeh, Vintage and Distressed, Over-Dyed, and Traditional hand-knotted wool rugs in a wide range of sizes — from accent rugs up to oversize pieces.

Can I visit the showroom?

Yes, absolutely. Our Carlstadt, NJ showroom is open by appointment Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins welcome during business hours, but appointments guarantee dedicated time with one of our team to pull options for your project.
