Modern Ziegler Carri Gray/Tan Wool Rug - 7'9'' x 9'11''

Cloudy patches of gray and warm tan blend into each other like a weathered wall. It works like a piece of art for the floor. It is a modern 8x10 area rug in gray and tan.

Hand knotted and one of a kind, this handmade wool rug is made from a blend of hand-spun local wool and fine merino wool, colored with natural vegetable dyes extracted from local plants. Look closely and you will see an abrash, a gentle shift in shade within a single color. It comes from hand-spun wool taking natural dye slightly differently from batch to batch, and it is a hallmark of a true handmade rug. The pile is trimmed to a moderate thickness, then stone-washed and sun-dried for a natural sheen and a soft feel underfoot.

It anchors a living room seating group, a bedroom, or a dining room. In gray and tan this rug suits warm minimalist, modern organic, and coastal interiors, and it sits easily beside light wood and linen. The painterly design sits well with contemporary art and maximalist layers.
