Eclectic Ziegler Arthur Red/Ivory Wool Rug - 8'1'' x 9'11''

Loose, painterly shapes in red, ivory, blue and gold are layered like an expressionist canvas. It works like a piece of art for the floor. This eclectic modern 8x10 area rug comes in red and ivory.

This handmade wool rug is one of a kind, hand knotted from a blend of hand-spun local wool and fine merino wool and colored with natural vegetable dyes extracted from local plants. Those dyes create an abrash, a soft shift in shade within a single color. Hand-spun wool takes natural dye a little differently from batch to batch, so the variation is normal and is one of the signs of a true handmade rug. After knotting, the pile is trimmed to a moderate thickness, then stone-washed and sun-dried for a natural sheen and a comfortable feel underfoot.

It anchors a living room seating group, a bedroom, or a dining room. In red and ivory this rug suits bohemian, global, and rustic modern interiors, and it warms up a mid-century modern room. Treat it like art for the floor and keep the furniture around it simple.
